QULANA RAMOS

TRAINER

Quiana Ramos a Filipino born and raised, and a graduate at Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao in Davao City, is an accomplished K9 handler with a deep specialization in tracking and trailing. Her journey in dog world began in Costa Rica, where she was introduced to handling dogs and doing basic obedience under the mentorship of Jeff Schettler, a leading expert in K9 work. What started as a personal passion quickly evolved into a lifelong commitment to understanding the intricate communication and partnership between dogs and handlers.

During her early years in Costa Rica, Quiana trained with a Great Dane named Petit and her own French Bulldog, Bubbles, whose determination and natural talent challenged common expectations about breed limitations in scent work. When Quiana moved to the United States, she continued her collaboration with Jeff Schettler, further developing her skills in advanced trailing, behavior analysis, and the practical applications of K9 scent detection in both professional and sport settings.

Her French Bulldog, Bubbles, went on to earn GAK9 certification and became widely recognized as the face of sports tracking for GAK9, inspiring other handlers to explore the potential of unconventional breeds in the field. Together, Quiana and Bubbles have demonstrated that dedication, consistency, and trust can transcend size and breed — proving that true trailing success is rooted in the relationship between handler and dog.

Today, Quiana continues to train, handle, and educate others in the art of K9 tracking and trailing. Known for her precision, empathy, consistency, and commitment to growth, she brings passion and purpose to every trail she runs, encouraging others to embrace the same bond-driven approach that defines her work.
