DAVOR KONJIKUSIC

SPORT TRAINER

CROATIA

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN WORKING WITH DOGS I actively started working with dogs in 2021, initially training with Maja Grozdanić (Kliker Center Zagreb and Croatian Search and Rescue Dog Association) where I completed basic and advanced courses, as well as individual training.

After a year of training, in 2022, I joined KOSSP (Club for Training of Sports and Service
Dogs in Zagreb), where I specialized in scent detection and mantrailing, beginning my internship within the training group.

I made significant progress in mantrailing through individual training with Uroš Gregorčič (GAK9 Slovenia), starting in early 2024. My training is based on GAK9 philosophy and methodology of search and teaching pedagogy. Concurrently, alongside trainer Vedrana Ćolić, I began an internship at KOSSP. However, in 2024, we left KOSSP and initiated training with nine teams fully adhering to the GAK9 methodology. Within this group, I regularly lead, plan, and evaluate training sessions under Uroš Gregorčič’s supervision. I completed six modules over ten days, passed theoretical exams, successfully obtained the GAK9 Level 1 – Trailing Field Handler certification, and have over 20 days of practical work with three teams trained under GAK9 methodology. I also lead training groups for experienced teams.

Academic and Professional Career I am employed as an Assistant Professor at the Academy of Dramatic Art, University of
Zagreb, Department of Cinematography, Chair of Photography. I am an award-winning
artistic author involved in various projects and artistic collaborations.
