HELEN JOHNSON

Helen is an operational GP Handler with 10 years of professional experience in both the private and public sector, mainly working with German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois.
She has spent time studying wolves as a long-term volunteer at Wolf Watch UK, witnessing firsthand how natural wolf behavior translates into domestic dogs.
Helen has also worked at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, gaining hands-on experience with trainee hearing dogs in the kennel environment.
In 2014 under NASDU she trained and licensed one of the first (Level 4 – Highfields Accredited) civilian Victim Detection Dogs in the UK.
Alongside her fellow GAK9 UK instructors Helen hopes to pass on Jeff’s teachings and training philosophy to other professional handlers.
