In 2014 I got my first dog, Ronja a white shepherd. I was sick at the time and Ronja helped me heal. Because of her I entered the world of dogs and soon I became fascinated in the way humans and dogs can work together.  

Later, Batman joined. He is a shelter dog and was very scared when he came to us, working with the nose gave him a lot of confidence and made him grow into a fine house dog. It is great to see how trailing can let  grow any dog, at any level.    

I started taking courses in the field of dog training and went on to specialize in tracking and trailing and in the training of assistance dogs.     

In 2020, I founded my own company, Team Up With Dogs,  and I help people form a strong team together with their dogs.  I help people with disabilities to train their own assistance dog training, teach tracking-and-trailing classes and classes at a dog school.  In 2022 Ravi an Australian kelpie came into our family. With him I started training with Ester van Summeren according to the GAK9 method and this appealed to me immediately. Working together with your dog, with other students and trainers and learning every time again, appeals to me a lot. And with Ravi I am growing into a better team every time. I was happy to take the course Sports Trainer with her and I have learned a lot in the recent months, both as a handler and as a trainer and I hope to transfer this knowledge to many more man-dog teams in future.
