MARTA WOJCIECHOWSKA

SPORT TRAILER TRAINER

POLAND

My true adventure with dogs began over eleven years ago when I adopted a golden retriever named Marley. It was with him that I took my very first steps into the dog training world. We started with obedience, but when mantrailing appeared on our path, I realized that this was exactly what I wanted to do and where I wanted to grow.

Marley wasn’t the easiest dog to trail with, but he was the perfect dog to live with. Thanks to him, I learned so much — he showed me what failure on the trail really means and how much it can teach us. He prepared me to become the kind of handler I am today for my younger dog, Lucyna.

When Lucyna came into my life, she turned it upside down. She showed me what it means to live with an anxious dog struggling with sound phobia. She taught me the difficult art of letting go and inspired me to fight for my dreams. It’s thanks to her that I became a dog trainer and behaviorist, and now I can help other owners solve their dogs’ problems, improve their mutual relationships, and ignite in them a love for mantrailing.

My first encounter with GAK9 was at the beginning of 2019. I attended as an observer — and was instantly captivated. The seminar made a huge impression on me and permanently changed my approach to mantrailing. Since then, I’ve participated in every following event with my own dogs — first with Marley, and now only with Lucyna. Each experience left me wanting more and more.

Working with clients is a constant source of inspiration and motivation for me. Every team — dog and handler — brings something new, helping me expand my knowledge and avoid falling into routine. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch my students’ progress and see how their relationships with their dogs evolve and grow stronger.
