Trainer / Belgium

Wim De Kinder has been involved with dogs for over 20 years. He has raised, trained and worked with working dogs in various disciplines: mantrailing, detection, obedience, agility, and hunting. He has been an instructor since 1995 with numerous certifications and attended scent detection and mantrailing training sessions and seminars in Europe with his Golden Retriever Noah.  Currently, Qt, his Hanoverian hound, started her mantrailing and detection career as well.

He started his own school and behavior practice in 2011 in Ghent, Belgium which evolved into the “Roopoorte”, a school specialized on nosework and mantrailing on an old, restored Flemisch farm near Ghent.  After a few years of hard work and a lot of support from other European GAK9 instructors, he is committed to spreading the GAK9 training philosophy in Belgium deploying trailing lessons for private citizens and SAR teams.  Eyes on motivation, body language, behavior, communication, and coördination are his trademark!
